Draft Feasibility Assessment and Main Technical Design Submitted PDF

The Feasibility Assessment (FA) has been elaborated in order to identify and analyze clean-up technologies for all waters from Bucim Mine. The desired result is to collect and treat all polluted water in a sustainable and effective manner.

The Draft FA contains the following:

 

  • All available data collected and analyzed
  • Surveys, laboratory tests, sampling and site investigations needed for assessment of various alternatives for water protection measures
  • Current pollution of soil, surface and groundwater assessed
  • Possible collection and remediation/treatment alternatives identified and the technical, environmental and financial feasibility of each identified viable treatment technologies analyzed
  • Possibilities for mineral/metal extraction from the mining waters identified and it's viability for commercial exploatation explained
  • Analyzed alternatives elaborated
  • Recomendations on the most feasibile option provided, based on multi-criteria analyses

 

Draft Main Technical Design of the selected alternative was submitted on December 18th, 2008. The design provides solution for prevention of discharge of polluted waters outside the concession area of Bucim Mine.
