Ms Zumreta Jahic, Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Belgrade, Serbia and Ms. Marije Maessen, First Secretary, Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Skopje, Macedonia, on September 4th 2008, had a working visit to the Hot Spots Project Sites Lojane and Bucim.

On August 28th 2008, Bucim Mine, Radovis, celebrated the "Miners Day" and the Orthodox Religious Holiday "Dormittion of the Virgin" protector of the Miners.

UNDP Western Balkans Environment Regional Programme Management Unit, Ms. Sanja Bojanic, Ms.Snezana Dragojevic and Mr.Stewart Williams had a working visit to Hot Spots Project Macedonia.

On March 12 2008, UNDP Resident Representative, Ms. Maria Luisa Silva Mejias, and the Bucim Mine General Manager, Mr. Vasilij Barutskij, signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) rfor the project "Sustainable Mining Clean Up and Pollution Management in Bucim and Lojane Mines".
